Crystal & Yakob
Crystal and Yakob's wedding day was a beautiful celebration of their love for each other, and their two cultures combining. Yakob coming from an Uzbekistan background while Crystal coming from a Chinese heritage... they combined their families into one.
The day began with a traditional Chinese tea ceremony at 10am in the morning where family & friends filled the room. Crystal was dressed in a stunning red and gold gown, her hair pinned up neatly and Yakob wore a traditional Chinese suit down to the floor. The ceremony was filled with emotion, and it was clear that Crystal and Yakob were deeply in love.
After the tea ceremony, Crystal had her hair re-done and a dress change into a traditional white wedding dress. We took photos in the balcony of their home as we prayed for the rain to go away.
Unfortunately, it continued to rain quite a bit, but that didn't stop us from getting amazing photos whenever we had the opportunity. Crystal and Yakob were so loved by their friends and family, and it was a joy to capture their special day.
One of my favorite moments from the day was when the groomsmen prayed over Yakob before the ceremony, specifically his older brother wishing the best for him. It was a powerful and moving moment, and it showed how much the couple's friends and family cared about them.
Another favorite moment was when Crystal and Yakob exchanged vows. They were both so emotional, and it was clear that they were making a commitment to love and cherish each other forever.
The couple enjoyed taking photos with their guests , their delicious meals, cutting their cake & exiting with a sparkler exit!
I am so grateful to Crystal and Yakob for trusting me to capture their wedding day. It was an honor to be a part of their special day, and I wish them all the happiness in the world.
